at your responsible organization or institution.
With this permission you can upload new data or change your data.

New Institution
If you want to refer often to a certain external institution, it make sense to create a new
set of data for this institution first. Use the menu item "New Institution".
The dialog will guide you through to the workflow area, where the data are temporary stored.
Tools for further editing are available there. You can change the data, save them to the server or delete them.
When you save the data to the server, the data set will be deleted in the workflow.
If you want to change institutional data that are stored in the data base you first have to search them.
Then you can find icons for deletion or editing at the bottom of the detailed metadata page,
provided that you have the permission to change these data.

New Person
Analogical with the institutions it behaves with the personal data.
If you want to refer often to your personal data, it make sense to create a own set of
data in the system. Use the menu item "New Person" to enter your data.
The following procedure is the same as this for creating institutions.

New Document
To create a document select the menu item "New document". Even though it is not necessary to create institutional data and personal data first,
nevertheless it is recommended to do so, if you have references to these data.
After selecting the menu item "New document" please fill in the entry mask for metadata and save the data.
Then the metadata still can be changed or deleted as long as they are in the workflow.
The metadata set should be completed before it is committed to the server.

In these different workflows you find data of documents, persons or institutions which were not yet saved on the server and are still in the workflow area.

Classification Editor
In the metadata set you can add any classification and category to a document.
With the classification editor you can edit classifications or add new classifications.
Before you start inserting data please make sure, that your web browser works with
java-applets
in version 1.4x.
Otherwise you will have limitations uploading files: the maximum is three files, each 4 MB.
You can add an arbitrary number of data objects to your metadata set.
An upload dialogue is offered in each case which allows via applet to integrate files or directories into the workflow area.
The dialogue ends everytime again at the the current status in the workflow area. Here all files are listed which are assigned to the metadata set.
If you have added all data objects, you are able to save the complete document with all suspended files into the server.
Then you receive the data of the document like after a search.
