  • The chamberlains of Bishop Hezilo of Hildesheim and Abbot Widerad of Fulda insult and attack each with fists over a seating arrangement dispute on Christmas, but are stopped before they can draw weapons.
  • Bishop Hezilo of Hildesheim, Count Ekbert and their men ambush Abbot Widerad of Fulda and his followers during Pentecost service in presence of the King, first with fists and clubs, then with weapons, resulting in many injured and dead on both sides.
