A legionary legate in Syria who, in AD 36, was sent with legionary troops and auxiliaries by L. Vitellius, the governor of Syria, to fight against the Cietae in Cilicia; the expedition ended with the subjugation of the tribe (Tac. Ann. 6,41). T. can probably be identified with Columella’s amicus of the same name [1.284f.]; he may also possibly be T. [II 2]; however, the latter might also be his son.
