    Original Text :ἐνταῦθα τῶν βαρβάρων τινὲς ἀπροσδοκήτως περιτυχόντες τοῖς ἄγουσι τὸν ἵππον αὐτοῦ τὸν Βουκεφάλαν λαμβάνουσιν.
     
    Translation :Here some Barbarians unexpectedly fell in with those who were leading Alexander's horse, Bucephalas, and captured him.

    Remark :long-term consequence: Alexander send an envoy to the bandits: They had to give him back his horse, otherwise he would kill all of their tribes. After they surrendered, he gave them a large ransom. This is mentioned in 44.3.
