    Original Text :ἅμα δὲ τούτοις πραττομένοις κατὰ τὴν Μακεδονίαν Πτολεμαῖος μὲν ὁ Ἀλωρίτης ἐδολοφονήθη ὑπὸ τἀδελφοῦ Περδίκκα, βασιλεύσας ἔτη τρία: τὴν δὲ ἀρχὴν διαδεξάμενος ὁ Περδίκκας ἐβασίλευσε τῆς Μακεδονίας ἔτη πέντε.
     
    Translation :While these things were going on, in Macedon Ptolemy of Alorus1 was assassinated by his brother-in-law Perdiccas after ruling three years; and Perdiccas succeeded to the throne and ruled Macedon for five years.
