Translation :So heavy was the slaughter of men and animals that the plain was completely choked with them, and dead bodies were piled high in huge mounds, particularly those of camels which fell over each other. The men who were fighting were prevented from charging across the plain; they could not even see each other any longer because of the enormous kind of burial ground which was heaped up between them and made impassable by the bodies. Since they were stopped from attacking each other, they retired to their respective camps.
