    Original Text :οἱ γὰρ στρατιῶται ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν ὀργῇ ἐχώρησαν, καὶ τήν τε φυλακὴν τῆς τοῦ Τιβέριδος γεφύρας ῥᾳδίως ἔλυσαν ῾ἐπειδὴ γὰρ ἐνστάντες ἐς αὐτὴν ἐκώλυσάν σφας διελθεῖν, διενήξαντο τὸν ποταμὸν οἱ ἱππεῖς καὶ κατὰ τοῦ νώτου σφίσιν ἐπέπεσον᾽,
     
    Translation :For his soldiers advanced angrily against him and they also overcame easily the guard at the bridge over the Tiber; for when the guards took their stand on the bridge and disputed their passage, the horsemen forded the stream and fell upon them from the rear.
