    Original Text :ἐπειδή τε καὶ ὑπεραλγήσας καὶ οἷς ἔπαθε καὶ οἷς ἤκουεν ‘ἀλλ᾽ ἔγωγε’ ἔφη ‘αὐτοκράτωρ ποτὲ ὑμῶν ἐγενόμην,’ ὀργισθέντες οἱ στρατιῶται πρός τε τοὺς ἀναβαθμοὺς αὐτὸν ἤγαγον, κἀνταῦθα κατέκοψαν, τήν τε κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ ἀποτεμόντες κατὰ πᾶσαν τὴν πόλιν περιήγαγον. ”
     
    Translation :Finally, grieved to the heart at what he had suffered and what he had been hearing, he cried: "And yet I was once our emperor." At that the soldiers became enraged and led him to the Stairway, where they struck him down. Then they cut off his head and carried it about all over the city.
