Remark :
context: Agriwulf had been given the rule over the Suebi by Theoderic II. after the defeat of their King Rechiarius, but had apparently not paid his dues to the Visigothic king. (44.233) long-term consequence: Agriwulf is executed as punishment, described in: "The captured ruler of the Suebi Agriwulf is beheaded by order of Theoderic II."
Theoderic II. afterwards pardoned the Suebi, which had sent him priests as envoys, and allowed them to choose their own ruler. (44.234)
