    Original Text :ἐν τοῖς καὶ τὸν τοῦ Βαρεσμανᾶ τὸ σημεῖον φέροντα ξυνέπεσεν εἶναι, ὃν δὴ ὁ Σουνίκας τῷ δόρατι ἐπελθὼν παίει.
     
    Translation :Among these happened to be the standard bearer of Baresmanas, whom Sunicas charged and struck with his spear.

    Remark :long-term consequence: The Romans continued to surround the Persian soldiers on this flank, while the Persians attempted to regroup near the fallen banner.
