    Original Text :Leo papa profectus contra Nortmannos, conserto cum eis prope Beneventum prelio, et fugientibus statim in prima congressione Longobardis, Teutonici omnes pene ad unum interfecti sunt. Ipse quoque obsessus est in Benevento, et vix tandem post multas tribulationes obsidione liberatus, cunctos dies, quibus supervixit tantae calamitati, in luctu et merore egit.
